What I did today.

Got up and showered and ate leftover pancakes (yum) and drank some coffee and got in the car to go to the Charm City Craft Mafia Holiday Heap at 2640, which by the way is the coolest building in Baltimore, hands down. Place was jammed with awesome stuff and so many people. Olivia was a little kirked out by the crowd. Can’t blame her.

I picked up a print from Tugboat Printshop and chatted with Paul Roden (I think) about the paper they use, the inks they prefer and their process. Here’s a pic of the print I got:

I also picked up a comic book about screenprinting from Red Emmas:

Then, we had an awesome lunch at Paper Moon Diner. You want to make the cheese steak yummier? throw it on white bread and then grill that in butter. Good thinking, Paper Moon!

Came home made some snow-droids with the girls out front. Then decided to try out the woodcut process myself:

I used a bigass piece of wood I've had forever and freehanded the whole thing.

Then I made a test print, but the paper was real thick, so it turned out meh...

A Pal for Sophy

We’ve been toying with the idea of getting a buddy for Sophy to snuggle with. Not completely sure it would work even, she being a little advanced age wise and pretty set in her ways. Being a pug and all. And a schmoo…

I want a Boston. I know I should look into getting a rescue. And Sophy likes bigger dogs better…

Any advice?

The Big Muff is big (the biggest effects pedal I’ve even had), fuzzy and loveable. I tried snuggling with it, but it is a little too angular.

I’ll have to get a plush one for that:

I already feel more like J. Mascis (he owns 20 Big Muffs).

the coffee at work is terrible, but it doesn’t have to be.
it could rise to the level of mediocre.
put 1.75 bags in for each mega-pot
and nobody will get hurt.

Here’s the deal… We posted to Craiglist and got some good responses, but I want someone local, because I’m lazy…

We’re asking for $300, but could go as low as $275. The front basket is on the bike, but is a little bent out of shape. Email me if you want to give it a whirl.
