The most successful part has been the cookie and lemonade stand, sporadically womaned by Olivia, Natalie, Phoebe (from up the street), and Emily (from next door). $22 total, so Emily decided to split it 3 ways and gave Natalie the remainder of $1.
Now, I’m not sure how I feel about this. Jennifer and Olivia made the cookies, using our supplies. Phoebe kept trying to up the price to “5 dollas a bag”. Where’s my cut?
I despise yard sales, and I’ve been aloof as usual.
The best part is that I showed off my first bag and second one (in progress) to Frank and Karen, who live 3 doors up from us. They wanted to sign up for one right away. Frank said he could help me get a write-up in a rock climbing magazine. Karen’s a MICA grad and I think they both went to RISD for undergrad, but I’m not sure. They’re the coolest neighbors ever!
Hitting up the NCR trail this afternoon with Damien.
Oh, and a neighborhood happy hour tonight.
Summertime rolls…
