So, I am at 80 miles for the year. Given that, I think I can squeeze in another 120 before month’s end to make it 200 for the month.
Keep in mind, this has all been indoors, on the trainer. But, it still is a good workout.
Anyway, depending on how things go (obviously), I’m thinking I should up my year’s goal from 1,600 to 2,000. I know, that is double what I did last year, but I’m planning on NOT having any crashes this year. No more clipless pedals, no silly tricks like riding up grass hills and trying to hop off the bike at the top.
Also, I’m thinking this year I’ll be doing more rides that are 20-plus miles. The NCR will be mostly where I do this, but I want to explore some other street-bound city routes too. Have any suggestions?
Congrats! I love lofty goals! I am scared of riding my bike anywhere but on bike paths. And even then I don’t like to do that on “crowded” days. So no help there, sorry!
I just try to run down as many people as I can on the bike paths….
Just call me misanthrope…
